From The Principal

Hamilton Secondary College provides a comprehensive range of challenging and supportive learning experiences for students from Year 7 to Year 13, for Adults and for students with Severe and Multiple Disabilities. In fact, we have one of the most diverse range of curriculum of any school in South Australia. The College facilities and resources support our technology focus. In addition to the provision of the SA mandated curriculum, we deliver 9 nationally accredited vocational certificates, providing students of all ages with a sound foundation for pathways into employment or future studies.

The students make Hamilton an exciting and vibrant learning setting. They are friendly, down-to-earth people, with ages ranging from 12 - 90. They are active in sport, music, art, drama and the many co-curricula activities available to them. Many are active in the wider community and play a leadership role in a variety of contexts.

Our teachers are well qualified, highly motivated and committed to developing each student's potential for success. They strive for continual improvement through participation in a range of professional development activities and through self reflection. Since 2004 each teacher has had a personal improvement plan through which they commit to extending and expanding their skills.

However, it is the cooperative, supportive partnership between teachers, students, and where applicable, parents, that ensures that each learner maximises their opportunities for successful learning outcomes.

The educational journey at Hamilton is exciting, challenging and full of opportunities. I am committed to ensuring that Hamilton Secondary College continues to lead the way in the provision of quality lifelong learning.
