Performing Arts Centre

150 Seat Theatre

Hamilton’s Performing Arts Centre contains a 150 seat theatre where students have the opportunity to perform in a variety of Arts Showcases, Drama performances and Music performance evenings.

Lighting and Sound

Students have the opportunity to learn how to use and manage professional lighting and sound systems using Hamilton’s light and sound equipment in the theatre as well as part of their studies in Drama and Music.

Music Centre

The new music centre contains two dedicated music classrooms as well as multiple practice rooms.

STEM & Space Facilities

State-of-the-art Planetarium

Hamilton’s planetarium is only the second in South Australia and the first in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, and the only one featuring a full dome ceiling. It allows the school to continue to grow and develop as a leading player in the space education field, building on the strong STEM focus the school is known for.

Mars Mission

The Hamilton Mars Mission is an immersive experience that all Hamilton students undertake as part of their studies in Science and STEM. The Mars Mission includes the Briefing Room, Mission Control and the Mars Surface where students undertake the roles of astronauts and mission controllers as they explore and learn about the Mars surface.

Dedicated STEM Wing

Hamilton’s purpose-built STEM wing allows students to design, develop and test their projects and experiments across multiple zones. Students use the Ideation Zone to work in groups to collaboratively design and map their ideas, the Technology Zone to developing coding and 3D modelling skills, and the Testing and Realisation zones to build and test their solutions.

Sporting Facilities

Refurbishment of Gym Facilities

Newly installed heating and cooling in the gymnasium as well as new flooring and score board has increased students’ enjoyment of PE and after-school sport.

New Sports Precinct

A new cricket pitch was installed in September 2025.

Additionally, in 2026, construction will begin on Hamilton’s new Sports Precinct.

The new sporting facilities will include new cricket nets, three multi-use basketball, tennis and netball courts, and synthetic pickleball and futsal courts.
