National NAIDOC Week: 50 Years of Deadly
If you’re flying out for the holidays check out the NAIDOC Week exhibition at Adelaide Airport. It’s just one of many events around town celebrating 50 Years of Deadly, a milestone and tribute to the people who built the movement of National NAIDOC Week. Held in the first week of July each year, NAIDOC celebrates and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through local activities and events. Head to https://www.naidoc.org.au/local-events/local-naidoc-week-events
Fun fact: This year’s NAIDOC Week poster was created by proud Yankunytjatjara man Zaachariaha Fielding, from the APY Lands in South Australia. He’s also known internationally through the acclaimed music duo Electric Fields. Find out more: https://www.naidoc.org.au/posters/poster-gallery/2026-national-naidoc-week-poster
