SA Screen Arts Awards Success

The South Australian Screen Arts Awards is an annual celebration of the best in SA film and media talent. This year, as in previous years, alumni of the MAPS (Media Arts Production Skills) Film School, based at Hamilton Secondary College, were honoured during the Awards evening.

The following ex-students dominated the high profile artistic categories of the awards: Mira Soulio – winning in both Best Film and Best Documentary fields, with her piece entitled ‘The Still Point’ (screened on the ABC); Lucy Campbell and Peter Ninos – winning Best Drama (‘The Big Nothing’); and Nick Cleary and Daniel Vink – winning Best Web Series (‘Goons Inc’). Best Cinematography honours were given to Maxx Corkindale, for ‘Mutt’.

This was a great result overall for the reputation of MAPS Film School and our courses: the Diploma and Advanced Diplomas in Screen and Media.

Congratulations to all award winners and nominees.
